Rugby is known for evoking a strong sense of community and will always provide a warm welcome to newcomers. There is a great deal of mutual respect between players and teams, originating from all walks of life.
Both people who watch and participate in the game demonstrate great passion towards the fun, adrenaline-filled and animated game.
Our specialists are experienced in both the league and the union and have experience with professional, semi-professional and amateur players and clubs.
Rugby is considered a high-risk activity due to the physical nature of the game and the number of injuries sustained from playing. The most common rugby injuries range from hamstring strains, sprains, head trauma and hand/finger injuries.
We’ll work with you to assess which cover would be best suited to your role and risks specific to you. We’re here to help members, clubs and staff work together to minimise risk and help make sure rugby is safe for everyone, on and off the pitch.
If you’re a club, league, team, association or governing body, you will need to be protected against liability claims with professional indemnity cover. We can also arrange for your property to be protected if your club becomes temporarily unsuitable to host training or a game for a competitive event, even if this is for an extended period of time.
A Club should so all it reasonably can to create a safe environment and reduce risk of injury to others. If someone is injured at your club, whilst taking part in club activities the club could be held liable for compensation.
Directors and Officers Insurance
All club committee, board members or trustees have a personal liability for any claim that is made against the club for breach of duty.
If you’re a rugby coach, you may benefit from our specialist rugby coach insurance which will cover both you and the players in your care. If your advice has resulted in a player injury, you could find yourself in the centre of a dispute. This policy will cover the cost of hefty defence, investigation and compensation costs.
