What are the types of cover?
When you host a sporting event opened up to spectators, the risks involved and potential claims can become quite varied. Claims that have happened to cricket clubs in the past have been anything from the scoreboard collapsing down into a small crowd of people causing serious injury, to someone tripping up and hurting their hip outside the clubhouse. These events can prove very expensive, with claims often running into the thousands. The cricket club is so often the heart of a community and as such., the way to protect it is through public liability insurance.
So many cricket clubs are run through hard-working volunteers and part-time staff. That still means you should take up the employers’ liability insurance to protect them if anything happens whilst they are on duty for the club.
We cover a whole variety of clubhouses and outbuildings, of standard and nonstandard build. So often the outbuilding will hold lots of expensive equipment and machinery that is essential to the maintenance of the club and field. Also, cricket clubs still have nets and other content that are more unique to cricket clubs. These items can be covered for loss or theft under your policy. We cover everything from the changing rooms, trophy cabinet, pitches, and scoreboards.
This is to help cover any loss of income if your club has to be closed for any period.
Business Interruption insurance is usually sold in 12, 24, and 36 month periods.
